In the Netflix drama First Love, which premiered on 24 November 2022, a work I had entrusted to the Casie was featured in the room of the main character, Harumichi Namiki, played by Takeru Sato. The piece is large and is displayed on a shelf next to the sofa in Harumichi Namiki’s room. Titled ‘Early Summer 2013-05’, the piece was created in 2013. It was inspired by a firefly village resembling a planetarium. The overlapping colours, the layers visible beneath, and the white that seems to envelop everything are all features of the piece. I created this work just before my current artistic concept solidified, so it holds personal significance for me.
I also provided a reproduction of the work for the Korean KBS weekend drama 효심이네 각자도생 ～ Live Your Own Life (Japanese title: Hyosim’s Independent Struggle), which premiered in autumn 2023. This was done in cooperation with the Korean gallery TY A&C. This marks the first such achievement by a Japanese artist, alongside two artists from Gekilin Art Gallery, making it another valuable experience.
佐藤健さん演じる主人公・並木晴道の部屋
2022.11.24スタートのNetflixドラマ「First Love 初恋」の劇中で、Casieに預けている作品を飾っていただきました。佐藤健さん演じる主人公・並木晴道の部屋のソファの横の棚の上に立て掛けてある大きな作品です。作品は2013年に制作した「Early Summer 2013-05」。プラネタリウムのような蛍の里に行ったときの情景がもとになった作品です。色の重なり、透けて見える下の層、それから覆いかぶさってくる白。現在の制作コンセプトがしっかりと固まるすこし前の作品ですので、個人的にも貴重に思っています。
また、2023年秋にスタートした韓国KBS週末ドラマ「효심이네 각자도생 ～ Live Your Own Life（邦題：ヒョシムの独立奮闘記）」には、韓国のギャラリー TY A&Cの協力のもと複製画で作品を提供しています。gekilin. art gallery の作家2名とともに、日本人アーティストとしては初の快挙とのことで、こちらも貴重な経験でした。
